PH Balance

Healthy-pHWhat do a farmer a fish tank, and the local pool guy have in common? No its not the set up for a bad joke, instead what they all have in common is PH. Think about it for a moment when the pool guy comes to your home to clean your pool and test the water what is he testing? He is testing to see if the PH is properly balanced the pool wont be safe to swim in if it is not balanced properly. The pool water turns green and fungus starts to grow, so in essence if the PH isn’t balanced the pool gets a bug. Its the same principal for a fish tank. If the PH isn’t balanced properly the fish get sick, some even die, and green fungus starts to grow. Now some of you are saying ok I get that connection but why the farmer? In the same way a farmer has to test the soil to make sure it has a proper PH balance. If the balance is off the crop wont grow properly, that’s why they add products like lime, manure and fertilizers to help balance the PH levels in the soil . The next time you go to your local big box hardware store check out the pool section and the garden section I guarantee that you will find PH test kits in both sections, you will also find a similar kit for fish tanks in the local pet shop as well. So what does this have to do with our bodies and our health. Think about this approximately 60% of our body make up is water by weight, not to mention the three major elements found in the body, Oxygen at 65%, Carbon at 18%, and Hydrogen at 10% are also found in common topsoil, as well as the other 59 lesser elements, our bodies share with the Earth’s crust. So if a farmer knows that the soil has to be balanced and the pool guy understands that the water has to be balanced, should we then not be properly balanced? Of course, your body has this not so cool way of telling you, you are out of balance and that is you get sick. Just like when your pool gets green, your fish get sick, and the farmers crops are weak and don’t yield well. Illness is your bodies way of saying “Hey you are out of balance”. Balancing out the body is not a complex deal it mainly consists of diet change. I also want to point out that the scale for balancing out your PH is not a mid line number. You see the PH scale for the body goes from 1 to 14 so that would make 7 the mid line and though 7 is not necessarily bad it is not necessarily good either. The number 7 in the PH scale is considered neutral you really want to be in a 9-14 range for optimal health. Ok how do I do that? Eat more vegetables especially the green ones, like baby greens, raw spinach, avocados, sprouts, cucumbers, and kale. basically make a big salad and go to town. If you really want to get radical put that salad in a juicer and reap the nutritional benefits in minutes instead of hours. You can also get at any local grocery store Alkaline infused water. Another tip to gaining better health is to stay away from highly processed boxed or canned foods do your best to eat all natural and organic.
